Neuropsychological Assessment

What is a neuropsychological assessment? 

A neuropsychological assessment is a type of evaluation that focuses on understanding the ways in which the different areas of the brain are functioning. The results of these assessments are used by neurologists, schools, primary care physicians, and others to help adults and children reach their highest potential.

 

A person is typically referred for an assessment to determine the presence of one or more of the following: 

  • Traumatic Brain Injury

  • Concussion

  • Dementia

  • Alzheimer's Disease

  • Parkinson's Disease

  • Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder

  • Learning Disorders

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder

  • Neurodevelopmental Disorders

  • Speech and Language Disorders
